The Femme Trek Story
“Women in the Outdoors Deserve to Be More Than Just an Afterthought.”
My name is Sharon, and I'm the founder of Femme Trek.
In 2021, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life: I walked away from the corporate world after nearly seven years to build something of my own. I wanted to create work that mattered, something that combined my love of the outdoors with the opportunity to help women discover what they're capable of.
Over the years, hiking became much more than a hobby. The mountains challenged me, taught me resilience, and reminded me that confidence isn't something we're given; it's something we build through experience.
As I spent more time outdoors, I began noticing something I couldn't ignore. Too often, women were expected to fit into experiences that weren't created with us in mind. Women-only trips existed, but they were often just one offering among many.
I believed women deserved something different.
Not a special event.
Not one option in a catalog.
A company built intentionally for women from the very beginning.
That's why I created Femme Trek.
Every hike, snowshoe adventure, wilderness skills workshop, and outdoor experience is designed with one purpose: to create a place where women can explore Rocky Mountain National Park with confidence alongside an experienced female hiking guide.
Women aren't an afterthought here.
Women are the mission.
Whether it's your first hike or your fiftieth, my goal is the same: to help you feel safe, capable, and connected outdoors while experiencing one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Five years later, I'm more excited about Femme Trek than ever.
Every season, I meet incredible women from around the world and share trails that have shaped my own life.
