The Femme Trek Story
“Women in the Outdoors Aren’t Just an Afterthought.”
My name is Sharon, and I’m the founder of Femme Trek. I launched Femme Trek in 2021 and then walked away from the corporate world after nearly seven years. I wanted to realize my potential and create something that genuinely mattered, both for myself and for others.
Femme Trek was created intentionally for women because too often, women in outdoor spaces are treated as an afterthought. I wanted to create a space where we can experience adventure, the outdoors, and the wilderness in our own way, at our own pace, and on our own terms.
More than anything, Femme Trek is about creating space for adventure, fun, learning, self-reliance, and community, reminding women that they are capable, strong, and deserving of outdoor experiences designed with them in mind.
